Harry Hawker Beer and Wine Bar

Named after local aviation legend, Mr Harry Hawker, this neighbourhood cocktail bar mixes sophistication with a quality party atmosphere. Borrowing motifs from the sky, soft edged custom light fittings, painted in tones of grey, wash the walls and seating areas with warmth.

A sculptural abstract representation of the Sopwith Aircraft which made Harry famous hangs above the open and engaging cocktail bar, encouraging people to gather around for a chat.

A large pixelated portrait of Harry, by the amazing artist Belinda Wiltshire, looks over the mix of intimate booths, share tables and open bar area that have been designed to accommodate groups and simultaneously make individuals feel connected to the party.

Completed on a tight budget, this bar utilises objects collected from second hand and recycle yards to give it a sense of permanence and character, immediately branding it as a local institution.
