Transformation of a first floor motorbike workshop into a new
cafe and bar.
This project called for a highly innovative design solution to
create a range of spatial scales.
The design approach was to create an aesthetic that carried
a sense of 'age' and comfort whilst maintaining a sense of
the unfamilliar and the challenging.
The adopted design solution represents a further
development of an architectural language developed by
Splinter Society for tackling low cost, yet complex briefs and
programs.
