A complex design brief which involved creating an
ultra-modern cottage from a Victorian weatherboard in a
highly protected heritage area. The design philosophy
involved taking the basic design principals and traditional
spaces of a classic large Victorian era house and abstracting
so that they can be read in a modern language.
The design incorporates Active and Passive environmentally
sensitive systems.
