The Sputnik office project involved the relocation of 35 staff
from a small office space in East St Kilda to a 900m2 first floor
warehouse in Windsor.
The job included:
The Re-programming of a highly complex office relationship
structure
The creation of an office for a design based firm which both
challenges and represents their design ideology.
A complete re-servicing of the building, creating a free flowing
open space which maintains a sense of intimacy and human
tactillity whilst maximising the office efficency.
Designing a space which could cater for a varity of working
spaces, thus accomodating team workshopping, private
meeting rooms and individual work stations.
The entire project (design and construct) was completed
within 4 months and with less than one day office down-time.
The result is a highly original and adaptable office design,
which provides a multitude of working environments,
geared for expansions when required.
