MissLibertine | Franklin Street Melbourne
status: complete
The adaption of a historic hotel into a cutting edge live music,
restaurant and multi-media venue that has the capacity for
700 patrons.
Splinter Society was involved in all stages of this
projects evolution, working with the owners to create the
name, style, brand, interior, furniture and lighting for
this project. Custom designed graphics was applied as
wallpaper behind this bar and the graphics were then further
utilized as the basis for the venues website.
The fit-out was the evolution of a concept based ion the
historic use of the venue, where Miss Lola Montez graced the
stage during the Gold Rush era.
The creation of small flickering lights along a continuous
bar/ timber log and the "Gold Nugget" Dj booth encapsulated
aesthetics and activities of the era, without a complete literal
reproduction.
