Fashion House | Office Fit-out
Status: Complete
The entire design and construct process for this interior fit-out
and programming project, was completed within 4 months,
whilst the client, one of Australia's largest and longest standing
manufacturers, designers and suppliers of fashion,
home-wares and garments, was undergoing a substantial
company re-structure and re-location.
The brief was to create an inspiring fashion design house
fit-out in a typical new commercial building on the outskirts of
Melbourne, providing a high level of amenity and interest for
the 120 staff, who had been previously located in the inner
northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Much of the design work was based in programmatic thinking
with a focus on teamwork and collaboration within and
between different departments in the company.
The idea was that for staff morale and teamwork, it was
essential to have an understanding of the company as a whole
and the work being created by other departments.
This approach in planning and design meant that clients were
all given an insight into all aspects of the company and
its products, from fashion labels, to homewares and technical
garments.
